    MADDEY

“Great place, felt comfy leaving my Fur in baby Bella. She is over 100 lbs just over 2. Was concerned in they might not be able to handle her energy but they all seemed to luv her and get her extra energy run out. They provide d daily report on cards and photos as well as comments from the handler that spent time with her in each day. Was very happy with their service would have given 10 stars if that were a thing.”

    Daycare FAQs

WHY DOES DOG NEED AN ENROLLMENT EVALUATION BEFORE BEING ACCEPTED FOR A PLAYGROUP

At Pinnacle Pets, our daycare guests begin with a personalized Enrollment Evaluation to ensure every dog enters our groups safely and confidently. Our management team takes the time to introduce each new guest slowly—first with calm one-on-one dog meetings, then with a gradual introduction to the larger group. We observe body language, energy levels, and comfort with different personalities to determine the best fit for your dog’s social experience.

We’re looking for dogs who are comfortable around others, respond well to social cues, and show positive, respectful play behavior. Our priority is always safety—for your dog, for our team, and for every guest in our care. Some dogs may need more time to adjust or benefit from alternative services, and that’s okay too. We’re here to help each dog succeed in the environment that’s best for them.

WHY SHOULD I BRING MY DOG TO DAYCARE?

Providing a rich stimulating experience for your dog will allow you to work guilt-free knowing you are maintaining the quality of your dog’s life.  Doggy daycare can give your dog a safe combination of exercise, structure, and socialization.

Bored dogs can be destructive but regular daycare will give your dog the energy and socialization he needs to be a better, calmer and happier addition to your home.

Our daycare services are currently on a waitlist but boarding dogs can still be evaluated for and join group play during their overnight stays.

HOW OLD DOES MY DOG HAVE TO BE TO JOIN DAYCARE?

In order to protect the health of all our guests, all dogs must be old enough to meet our vaccination requirements and spayed/neutered by 6 months.  Please see Daycare/Boarding Requirements for a comprehensive list.

If your pup is young (10 weeks-approximately 4 months) we offer FREE puppy mingles monthly to help them socialize until they can get all the vaccinations necessary to protect them in a regular adult group setting.

HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE WATCHING THE DOGS IN DAYCARE?

Human attendants are present 100% of the time during playgroup sessions and trained in dog body language, behavior, and playgroup safety. Our staff to dog ratio exceeds recommendations by the Pet Care Association and notable dog experts in the field.

WHAT KIND OF ACTIVITIES DO YOU OFFER FOR DAYCARE?

Daycare participants will enjoy both structured and free play with rest breaks to rejuvenate and eat.  Structured play will vary but can include hide-and-seek, fetch, group training, playing with bubbles, tug-of-war matches, and more.  We also have wading pools and ball pits available!

HOW WILL MY DOG BE KEPT SAFE DURING PLAY?

Pinnacle Pets engage in several policies to help ensure the safety of our guests. In addition to a careful screening of all playgroup participants, our staff receives initial and ongoing in-depth training on understanding dog body language, recognizing stress signals, early identification and intervention techniques for aggressive behavior and strong leadership skills to refocus negative behavior without the use of intimidation, corrections, or physical manipulation of the animal.
The health and safety of our guests are our priority. Prior to accepting our guests into daycare, our trained staff provides an in-depth Enrollment Evaluation to better understand each guest’s personality and temperament. This process evaluates individual personality and temperament to determine appropriate playgroup placement. Guests without adequate social skills or the inability to play safely are not able to participate in play groups and will be offered one-on-one play time with our staff. Please feel free to contact us for more information.

CAN I STOP IN FOR A TOUR?

Absolutely! You don’t need an appointment, we’re happy to show you around anytime! Come on in!

    GENERAL HEALTH & SAFETY INFORMATION

We require the Bordetella and CIV vaccines, in addition to Rabies, DAP and a fecal test in order to keep your pet as protected as possible in an environment where there are a lot of other dogs around. Even if your pup is not directly interacting with others during their visit, just like human germ transmission, most bugs are passed through the shared air. We have the highest regard for your pet’s health and safety and employ unmatched cleaning and sanitation standards, even having air scrubbers that work constantly in our building.

However, please be aware that there are some airway infections that vaccines do not exist to prevent. These infections are typically not life-threatening but can cause coughing. If your pet develops coughing, please call your veterinarian to determine if treatment is needed.

Having your dog in a place other dogs are or have been, is similar to children going to daycare or school. Even though children are vaccinated they frequently get colds from other children. It is not possible to completely prevent germ spread but rest assured that we do everything in our power to keep a clean and healthy environment for your pet’s visit and will always be transparent about any health concerns we may have. We only want what is best for your pet.

    WHAT ARE YOUR VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

Prior to boarding and/or daycare, you must provide proof of the following vaccinations from your vet:

    Dogs:

    • Annual Bordetella
    • CIV (Canine Influenza Vaccine)
    • Current Rabies
    • Current DHLPP
    • Annual Fecal Test Result (negative)

    Cats:

    • FVRCP
    • Rabies

Dogs over 6 months must be spayed or neutered to participate in daycare, however, they may still be boarded at 5 months old.

For a more comprehensive list, please click here.  You can contact us for additional information.

    FLEA/TICK CONTROL

For the health and safety of all pets in our care, we ask that all guests be on a monthly flea and tick preventative, though we do not require proof of administration.

    • Daycare: We recommend a topical flea treatment, as flea collars must be removed before playtime to ensure group safety.
    • Boarding: We reserve the right to remove a flea collar if it poses a risk to your pet but will generally allow it to remain on outside of group play.

If we discover fleas or ticks on your pet, appropriate treatment will be administered at your expense.

    CANCELLATION POLICY

We want to accommodate as many requests as possible and typically have a waitlist for reservations and services. Due to this and scheduling our team according to expected reservations, we request notice of cancellation with as much notice as possible.

No-shows and late cancellations (less than 24 hours) for daycare reservations will result in the customer being responsible for the cost of the daycare day.

No-shows and late cancellations (less than 24 hrs) for scheduled grooming and training times may result in fees added to the account.
Changes to the length of the stay must be reported and modified with more than 3 days’ notice to Pinnacle Pets. Customers are financially responsible for the original reservation dates if less than 3 days’ notice has been given of the adjustment.
